John Anderson · ELP pricing

What's John's pricing line?

Answering the number for the client-facing one-pager you asked about, and flagging what's true and what's missing before it goes anywhere.

Waiting on you

The decision this page exists for

Two things need your call, not just a lookup: which offer this one-pager is actually pricing (the full annual practice, or something lighter), and whether $15,000/year is the number to print, or a different figure for a narrower offer. Nothing below is decided until you say so.

First, a gap

The one-pager doesn't exist

The file you referenced isn't on disk. Checked twice, independently, on the machine where it would live.

/home/ethan/legacy-map-builder/.planning/elp-one-pager-for-john-clients.md — NOT FOUND

Searched two ways and found zero matches both times: a directory sweep of the file's exact path, and a broad `find` for anything named "one-pager" or "pricing" across both legacy-map-builder and relationships/johnanderson. The only pricing-named file that turned up (legacy-map-builder/.planning/pricing-business-RED.md) is CEO Advantage's SaaS billing tiers ($99/mo consumer subscription) — a completely different product, not this.

It may exist only in your memory of a planned document, on a branch or worktree not checked, or it may still need to be written. This doesn't block the pricing decision itself — that's answerable now, independent of whether the page exists yet.

What's already on record

What constrains this number

Pulled from the relationship record — John's own pitch materials, your invoicing setup, and the meeting where this pricing was last discussed.

John's live client price

$15,000/year for the full ELP annual practice — 50% at launch, balance invoiced quarterly, money-back guarantee. This is the number on John's own pitch-page screenshots, so it's what's already in front of prospects today.

It was corrected down once already

John explicitly asked to drop the earlier $17,500 figure (and a "36-month" framing) down to $15,000. As of mid-July, the stale $17,500 was still showing on two pitch-page docs — worth a quick check that it's fully gone before this one-pager ships.

The on-ramp offer

A $4,000 one-day immersion / "tune-up," money-back guarantee, with roughly an 80% historical conversion rate into the full $15,000/year practice. If the one-pager is meant to be a lighter entry point rather than the full practice, this is the closer comparable, not $15,000.

The deeper number behind it

The full 36-month ELP engagement — the program $15K/yr and the $4K day feed into — runs roughly $56,000 total. Not a client-facing headline number, but the ceiling this pricing sits under.

A separate, unpriced product

Virtual John / 10 Million Triangles (the platform-as-corporate-benefit version) has only been floated at $100–$1,200 per employee/year, never settled. The Legacy Map / ELP tool itself has never been priced standalone — it's always bundled into the coaching price. Don't use either as the number for this one-pager unless that's deliberately the offer.

Don't confuse this with your own fee

Your rate for delivering coaching inside John's engagement is $150/hr ($37.50/Triangle, $150 monthly, $450 quarterly). That's what John pays you, not what John charges his clients — a different number entirely.

A different pricing family, for context only

The Farbman consulting-sprint pricing ($5K–$75K project fees, anchored against a $60–120K agency quote) is a different client, different product — fixed-fee project work, not an annual coaching practice. It's the only other pricing frame on record, but it's not a direct comparable here.

Who this number has to work for

John's current active audience (V20) is mid-career leaders who object on time, not money — price sensitivity there is about commitment, not the dollar figure. And John himself hasn't landed a new client in about 12 months, which is a real risk if this one-pager pushes the number up rather than restating what's already working.

Nobody has set this before

There's no record of you holding pricing authority for John's client-facing offers, and no stated method for setting one. The only prior movement was John's own correction downward, and the immersion bundle pricing was explicitly left open in his words: "we've got to come up with all the boundaries on this." This appears to be the first time you've been asked to set this number.

The real choice

Options for the pricing line

Which one is right depends entirely on what the one-pager is pricing — and since the file doesn't exist, that scope is genuinely unknown.

If this is a lighter, one-day entry offer
$4,000

The immersion/tune-up price, with its own money-back guarantee and a strong track record converting into the full practice. Right choice only if the one-pager is meant as a lower-friction first step, not the annual engagement itself.

Not recommended without more input
A new number

Nothing on record supports inventing a different figure. Given John hasn't closed a client in a year, raising the price on an unproven one-pager is a real risk, not a neutral choice.

Bottom line

The honest answer

The dollar figure is knowable — $15,000/year, already in market. What's genuinely undetermined is the one-pager's scope, because the file describing it doesn't exist anywhere it was checked. If you confirm this is pricing the full annual ELP practice, $15,000/year is the line, ready to use. If it's meant to be something narrower, say which offer and the number changes to $4,000 or another figure entirely.
